Posting a pop up banner!

  Hey! I would like to have a banner that pops up the first time people go on my site asking them to suscribe. Is there any way to do this without premium? Or does it depend on the theme chosen?

  Oh yes you can do this but I never ever return to any site that has an arrogant in my face subscribe pop up appear before I have read the site content and decided if it’s worthy of following or not.
