  How do I post a static column on my page?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What is a static column? I have never heard that term. Are you sure you don’t mean a static front page?

  By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

  To do that create two pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  Thank you, I have now created a new page.

  Another question – how do I add a twitter link so people can tweet each page or the whole blog? At the moment, only one page has a twitter link at the bottom of the page?

  To have sharing icons appear in your sidebar, you capture images of the social network icons, link each icon image to your appropriate social network profile page, and then display those in a text widget in your sidebar.
