Posting Activity Display Missing from Google Chrome on PC

  Nonworking Browser: Google Chrome version: Version 43.0.2357.81 m (64-bit)

  Working Browser: IE v11.0.9600.17801

  PC: HP ENVY TS 15 Touchscreen Notebook Computer

  Problem: The new stats Insights Feature, Posting Activity, does not display on the Insight Page in the Chrome Browser as it does in the Internet Explorer Browser.

  Hi James,

  Thanks! One other question: Do you have any extensions installed in the Chrome browser? You can check that by opening this link in Chrome:

  chrome://extensions/

  If you do have extensions installed there, please try temporarily disabling them to see if that makes a difference on the Insights page.

  Hi Rachael,

  Good to hear from you!

  I have one extension enabled–Bitly. I disabled it–still no Posting Activity in Chrome when I select Insight.

  From your question, may I presume you see Posting Activity in the latest Version of Chrome. If so, I will chase my devils.

  Hi James,

  Thanks for checking that! I do see the posting activity in the latest version of Chrome, but there may be an issue that’s specific to touchscreen notebooks like yours. I’m letting our developers (including Jonathan, who you were communicating with earlier) know about the details you mentioned so they can continue to investigate that. :)

  Thanks Rachael, Good that Posting Activity works for you in Chrome. I look forward to knowing if my touchscreen notebook is the problem. I appreciate the quick replies. –james

  Hi James,

  Yep, it’s because your notebook has a touchscreen — our team is investigating the options for making that posting activity available on notebooks like yours. I don’t know what kind of timeline we’re looking at for solving that for you, but I’ll let you know once I know more!

  Thanks Rachael! Very good to know… I plan to try this on a friends’s notebook who does not have a touchscreen. Interesting that IE shows posting activity and Chrome does not. I have not tested other browsers. I appreciate your work and responses to me. –james

  Validated by me as well. Used a friends notebook w/o Touchscreen. It WORKS!!! Woe is me…

  Hi James,

  Our team spent some time over the past week digging into this issue, and unfortunately we didn’t find any quick fixes for your touchscreen notebook. We’re working on a version of the Posting Activity section that will work on all touchscreen devices — we don’t have a timeline for when that will launch, but once it does you’ll be able to view that section on your notebook.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help in the meantime!
