Posting an old post

  How do I use an existing post and repost it as a new post? I have a Fall post-2018 that I want to post and show as the first story in my stories for October 2019.

  Hi there,

  If you want to republish an old blog post, you have a few options. You can either reschedule the post where it republishes as the most recent post at a scheduled future date, or you can republish the old blog post, where you can keep the current date of the post, but put it back in draft status, update, and publish the blog again which would resend the post back out to your followers.

  staff-doublebassd if one republishes an old post with a new date, how does WordPressdotcom deal with existing incoming links, such as from search engines and other websites, which have linked to the old post? Are those redirected to the updated post or do they return 404 errors? TIA
