posting article with footnotes from Word…

  Posting a piece with footnotes or endnote. If I simply copy, in Word, andPaste, in WordPress, he footnotes haven’t copied and disappear.

  That is because Word is not a web application. It is a print media application and the code that it creates can cause websites to implode. It used to be that Word code would not be stripped out automatically, and we volunteers spent countless hours trying to help people recover from Word copy and paste. WordPress now automatically strips out any Word code to keep sites from imploding.

  You will have to add the footnotes back in manually. If you want them linked to the footnote number in the body of the post, then you will have to create “page jumps” using HTML.
