Posting blocked

    We just got this message a few hours ago:

    “Warning: We have a concern about some of the content on your blog. Please click here to contact us as soon as possible to resolve the issue and re-enable posting.”

    We clicked on the highlighted text, and it took us to a screen that said:

    “Error Report
    If you have received an error message and need to report it, please describe the symptoms below.”

    It then had a button “report blog” at the bottom.

    We filled out the form and hit “report blog,” which just just seemed strange.

    Anyway, we weren’t told exactly what was the problem, or issue, but we have a pretty good idea WHO reported our blog.

    Our blog exclusively covers the new Amazon Studios movie and screenplay contest.

    One of the entrants into that contest has been posting as OTHER PEOPLE on other screenwriter sites and blogs, he posted as another prominent entrant on our site, using that entrants REAL NAME, pretending to be that person.

    Thanks to a tip, we did some investigating and did an expose on the person who was impersonating other people on our blog and other sites on the internet.

    That person reported us to WordPress, and also ironically got “caught” reporting an Amazon Studios thread that had nothing to do with him, because he hit reply, instead of “report thread.”

    Can someone help us and let us know what the problem is with our site.

    Posting in the forum isn’t going to do more than spread news of the accusations against you. Nobody in the forum can help you. You will have to wait till staff have contacted you via email. Keep an eye on your Junk Mail folder, too, as sometimes WP.com messages end up there.

    Sorry, raintoaster, we didn’t know that nobody could give us support in the support forum, or that our situation was so terrible that we have to worry about other people spreading accusations about us.

    We are concerned about the syntax used.

    When we respond to a lockdown of our account, it shouldn’t go as an ERROR REPORT, and we shouldn’t be clicking REPORT BLOG. It just seems strange.

    We are concerned that our request for just some/any info about our problem is going to be lost, and that the report submitted is going to go in some error log that someone might look at by 2015.

    It should say RESPOND TO SITE SUSPENSION, or something to that effect, and then SUBMIT RESPONSE.

    Too much hoolpa over a blog that covers a website/contest that only a couple of thousand people at best are interested in.
