How do I know that my blog or page being published is actually going anywhere but inside my website?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

You may be sure that the site is publicly visible by choosing the Privacy Setting “Public” at Settings > General, as described in the General section of the Settings support page.

You could follow your own site, thereby resulting in notification of new posts being sent to the account email address.

You may check your Followers as described in the My Followers support page. That support page says:

When someone follows your site, each time you publish new content on your blog they receive an update in their Reader, via email, or both depending on their settings.

You may look for your site on Google and other search engines. Although your site may not be indexed by Google yet, it should be shortly.

Whenever you find referrers, views, clicks, likes, etc. in your stats, that’s evidence that others have at least clicked on something you’ve published. A comment, if not spam, indicates that someone has responded to something you’ve published.

Thank you. I’m new to this and have trouble finding things to write about. I’m sometimes not the most patient. And I am my own worst critic. I’m trying not to get disappointed in my self. But this is something I’ve been want to do for awhile.

No need to rush. Take your time and enjoy the ride. : )

The Learn WordPress.com page provides some links that might be helpful.
