Posting by email

The post by email instructions are apparently out of date? The step-by-step at… https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
Shows that there should a private email that can be enabled via Dashboard/Screen? In multiple browsers including Chrome and Firefox (on Android) that setting is nowhere to be found. Has it been discontinued? I hope not, it used to be my favorite way to post!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Near the top of the Post by Email support page you’ll find the following:
The instructions from this guide are referring to the WP Admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin).
Were you looking in your wp-admin dashboard?
Your wp-admin My Blogs page is here: https://1whoconquers.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs.

I *thought* that was where I was looking, but this time the page looks slightly different. And I found the button to enable post-by-email. BUT it’s a bit different than what’s described in the help page (screen options). It’s actually down further in the list of bulk actions.
Thanks!

Klaus,
And I found the button to enable post-by-email. BUT it’s a bit different than what’s described in the help page (screen options). It’s actually down further in the list of bulk actions.
You’re referring to two different actions. It must be enabled twice at the My Blogs page:
- at Screen Options, as described in item #2 in the instructions, and
- at the Post by Email column corresponding to a selected site from among the sites listed.
However, it might have already been enabled at Screen Options so that you were able to bypass this step.
You’re welcome!
