Posting by email – but it strips out jpgs
-
Love the new posting-by-email feature in principle but while the text appears, jpgs are being stripped out, whether I send them as attachments or in-line, and on the confirmation email I get “Note that 1 attachment was removed from the post. Please visit http://support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/ to upgrade your account.”
I’ll probably get around to a space upgrade in due course but for now I have 98% of my 3gb remaining, and I’m not wanting to post mp3s — so I should be able to email images, right? (There’s no problem when posting from the dashboard.)
Advice please.

This is so new, that all I can do is point you toward the support document and if that does not help, I suggest that you contact staff directly at http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

I got the same problem, I have try with JPG, TIFF and PNG formats, and with every kind of size… I keep receiving in the confirmation mail:
“Note that 1 attachment was removed from the post. Please visit http://support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/ to upgrade your account.”
I have plenty of space, so I do not understand whats going on…
I’ll wait for the reply of the staff, any idea of how much time do they take to answer? -
I haven’t been able to send an image by email either. I get the little question mark in the white box with a blue border, but the URL linked to it is complete nonsense and it certainly does not show up in my media library.

What it’s annoying is that whe I first test it, two days ago, it worked perfectly… any idea of this changed, do I need to upgraded to make it work?

I’ve got the same problem, but it just started recently. It worked fine for several weeks and then it wouldn’t attach any pictures I take from my iPhone. HELP!

+1
I contacted support…

thesacredpath,
“Contact Support” is obviously an easy answer to anything, but if everyone did that, there would be no need for forums like this. I wanted to see if anyone else had a solution before I bother support about it.
Anyone else have anything helpful?

Support have replied that they fixed the bug and indeed it seems to be working now. So cheers, Support.
