Posting comments

Keep receiving this error when posting a comment – Sorry, this comment could not be posted. Some of my bloggers keep getting this and so do I as the administrator.

I see in a sticky note entitled: Are your comments being marked as spam? on this problem and a post from Tellyworth on Staff stated that it was fixed. I was pleased to see that, but unfortunately, not on my end. I have sent an email to Akismet as instructed to do and have received no acknowledgement.
In addition, this only occurs on the first post made once logged in. If one logs out and comes back, the first post again will not post and the comment box dialog disappears which results in the comment having to be re-typed.

You are very welcome – I just hope they resolve this issue because I know some other blog administrators who are having the same problem. Look for more duplicate forums :) But again thank you.

What’s happening here is you have posted into 3 threads. What I expect Staff will do is close two and deal with only one.

Oh, I thought others could respond to threads as well. It won’t happen again on my part. I posted this particular one before the others as I did it approx 3 hours after it first occurred on the 17th because it kept happening throughout the afternoon and I was receiving complaints. Then as I searched I found one other before me after I had posted; it was worded differently but basically seemed to be the same problem and the following comment was posted under it by someone other than the person who created the forum, “We’re implementing some extra security checks on comments, but that broke commenting for some users. We’ve rolled back the checks for now, while we work around these problems.” So again I thought it was resolved. Because I was still experiencing the problem, the next day I found the other one which I commented on not knowing that I couldn’t. Then when I read the sticky note today and saw that the problem was also supposedly corrected I posted the last one to say it was not corrected on my end because we have been experiencing the problem all day.
