Posting Comments on Other WordPress Blogs
-
I have tried several times to post a comment on other WordPress blogs while being logged into my WordPress account (and not Facebook, Twitter, or as a guest), but this has turned out to be impossible. The “Authorizing” bar is there forever, but nothing ever happens – I can never log into my WordPress account (pebblemeddle.wordpress.com) and leave a comment on another WordPress blog. Help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for your suggestion! I have just tried this (options/clear recent history including cache), then tried to log into my account and leave a comment on another WordPress blog – it didn’t work. The same thing with the authorizing bar is happening again….Help?

You’re welcome!
I bumped this thread in hopes one of the Volunteers may be able to help find a solution for you I will modlook the thread as well in hopes the modlook tag alerts staff to this thread since support is closed right now.
Mean while I recommend trying to leave a comment while using a different browser to see if the problem still exist if using a different browser fixes the issue then it could possibly be browser settings…
I also recommend checking your browser flash player version by visiting this link with the browser your having issues with. If the flash player is out dated I recommend updating the flash then retrying to leave a comment to see if the issue still persist…
Browser Extensions can also cause browser issues I recommend disabling all extensions by starting the browser in safe mode Firefox instructions / IE instructions / Chrome work around
Another thing that comes to mind is if you’re using IE 7 or Older then the issue should resovle by udating to the current version which is IE9 if your comptuer uses (XP) IE9 won’t be a option and you will need to update to current browser by choosing Firefox or Chrome both browsers are safe to use. (The security lies with the users internet surfing habits which is for All Browsers)

How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.
http://browsehappy.com/Do you have third party cookies enabled? Do you have another browser you can try?
You can use this link to see if your Flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so check for known issues. When you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective. Have you had any recent operating system or security system updates?
