Posting content to a separate page on a blog
-
Hi there
I want to know if it’s possible to create a separate page on my blog, and publish content to that specific page.
I’ve created a page, and in doing so, published a little bit about the page and why I’ve created it. What I would like to know, is how do I keep that little blurb at the top of the page, and then subsequent posts underneath that.
After reading through a number of forums, I kind of worked out how to publish to a specific page by using the categories, however, this only seems to replace one post with another. For example, when setting up the page I wrote a blurb about it (mentioned above). Then when I tried to post an image to that particular page, using a ‘category’, the published image replaced the original blurb.
When I look at the admin panel, I can see there are 2 posts for that particular page, however, only one of them is visible. It is only showing one post to the page. How do I (can i?) post multiple posts to a specific page?
Cheers
josh.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Each category “creates” a category page whether you create a menu item for it or not. Using your category listing, just click on the category to see your category “pages”. You have “to do list” as a category and you can see your “category page” for it at https://adorablyobnoxious.wordpress.com/category/to-do-list/. You could create a menu item just for the category pages you want menued and use the link for the automatically created category page. – https://adorablyobnoxious.wordpress.com/category/to-do-list/.
Read about category pages here:

You have also created a PAGE called To do list at
https://adorablyobnoxious.wordpress.com/to-do-list/It sounds as though you want to have an introductory text before your blog posts on your category page.
1) You can create a regular page (like yiur to do list PAGE) and write whatever introductory text you wish and then below the text use the display posts shortcode to display posts in your category. https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/
Here is a starting point:
[display-posts category="to-do-list" posts_per_page="-1"]Let us know if either of these approaches seems to solve your issue.

And just to cover all bases:
Not likely to work: On the wp-admin dashboard is the ability for you add a description for a category. A theme “may” choose to use this like as an intro on a category page – but in my experience this is an underused field with potential – but most themes ignore it.. So I would rule that out.
