Posting draft posts and featured image – help !!!
-
I have two questions.
1. When I write a draft post and leave it for a few days or hours, go back and finish it then post it shows up on my home page as posted when I originally drafted it. This means it doesn’t show up as my most recent post. Why does this happen and is there anything I can do to fix it ??
2. The 2011 annual stats report – it seems that not everyone gets one, but those that do get an e-mail with the link. My e-mails were all lost to me in the last couple of days due to God only knows what technical difficulties so I have no way of knowing whether I may have been one of the lucky one to get this annual report. Is there anyway to find out yes or no ??

1. You can manually adjust the date via the Publish box to the right when editing to post.
2. I’ll see if we can send one to you. You’ll get an email when it’s ready.

Thank you !!!
One more question – I have tried to put featured images on certain posts and it no longer allows me to do so. I used to do that and when I have gone back over those older post now the featured image isn’t featured anymore either… -
Are you looking to add a featured image to change the header photo that appears on individual pages? If so, would you mind sending me a link to a page with a featured image that used to work and is no longer working?

this is one:

Howdy,
The featured image you set up is a bit small.
You’ll need to set a feature image that’s at least 1000 x 288 pixels in size, in order for it to be used as a featured header image.

On this page the photo isn’t too small but it won’t show up – why ?

That image is 906 × 360. It needs to be at least 1000 pixels wide for it to show up as a featured image. Could you try uploading it in a slightly larger version?
-
Thanks – just curious – why did you change this ? Because when I started blogging images uploaded fine to be headers that were much less – obviously that is why they worked then and not know – but it seems unusual to change something like that without a reason…hence the query.
-
Oh and how do you crop the image yourself so that you can line it up correctly as you can the image you use on your header ??
-
As far as I can see, this isn’t a recent change. I’m sorry for any confusion or difficulty it may have caused!

If the image is already larger than the required dimensions, you’ll see the cropper when you upload the header image.
If not, you’ll need to stretch it with an image editing application.
