Posting from YouTube -Doesnt work anymore

I cannot post videos from youtube anymore. Although it says the according video will appear on my blog shortly – it doesnt.
I guess I did not change anything in my blog at all. Maybe I changed something with categories. But could it be that??Passwords and stuff are all ok, this cant be the problem.
I getting completely mad at this. What is wrong, i feel like I had such a problem before, but it seemed to solve itself on its own. This time it does not. :O
Any help or hint? I rechanged, deleted and recreated categories and stuff but it didnt help.Thanx in advance!

I do not use the backend for posting videos! I use the youtube internal function to do so. And it does not depend on a certain video, it does not work with any at the moment. -

I have had this too – now I just post [youtube= and then the url] It works, the ‘function thing’ doesn’t.

Hmmm, well. The main thing about that was that i never had to login into that strange backend. I just gave Youtube my logindata and it did all the dirty posting work for me.
Creating a post while using “[youtube..]” might work, but it not as comfortable as the button below each video o the youtube site (post to blog function) [it does not even come close to this service].
Hmm, i dont feel like its is a youtube issue, but i cannot be sure. And as I see that there are several problems with wordpress i fear that it belongs to this place.
Hoooo, any more help?

As long as I’ve been around wordpress.com, the way to insert youtube videos was using the process in the link provided by bubel above. Although there have been a few that have had limited luck simply inserting the embed code from youtube, those successes are typically few and far between.
WordPress.com does not allow direct embeds of flash (or javascript for that matter) due to security concerns, and the code will get stripped out of posts and pages. Since this is a multi-user platform, we all share the same underlying wordpress and theme files, and any security issue introduced by one blogger could very well effect many bloggers.

@thesacredpath: Please read my post again! I am not referring to posting using the wordpress backend.
Youtube has a “post to blog function” which does it all for you! It worked fine for years and should do so now.

phalancs, what is the URL of your blog? That function does not work with WordPress.com blogs as far as I’m aware, only independently-hosted ones.

There seem to be others reporting “post to blog” problems over at youtube help forum, so why assume that the problem is with WordPress?
