Posting Image in Sidebar

  Hello everyone! New to blogging and loving it! But I am frustrated with one thing and can’t get it to work!

  I am trying to upload an image to my sidebar and can not get it to work!

  My blog is stephens3181.wordpress.com

  and my image link in the text widget is http://stephens3181.wordpress.com/files/2008/01/hair-photo.jpg

  I know I am doing something very wrong but not sure what! Coding is very foreign to me so would someone kindly walk me through it? I have tried numerous ways by the FAQ tutorial and still can not get it to work.

  Sorry for the rookie question and thanks for your help!
