Posting images in Penscratch 2

I post comics on my wordpress page, usually 2 square panels across and 3 down, and in the ‘square tiles’ layout. Does anyone know what the size of a square tile is if there’s two beside each other? My images keep shrinking and I lose a lot quality, it would be easier if I could make the images the right size in the first place.

    Hi,

The panels on your blog page are displayed as 324 pixel squares. Two of them are 648 pixels wide, plus the space between them. The Quick Specs section of the Penscratch 2 theme guide says:

The main column width is 656 [pixels], except in the full-width template, where it’s 937.

So the the space between the two images when the gallery is set to display two columns of square tiles is 656 – 648 = 8 pixels.

On devices with smaller screens the dimensions of the images will be scaled accordingly, but I’m not sure what you mean by “My images keep shrinking…” Where are they shrinking? I checked the dimensions of a couple of dozen panel images on the site, and all had file size 324 x 324, except one (300 X 296).
