Posting link to Facebook
-
I’ve just posted a wordpress article to our band’s Facebook page, normally once posted the link takes you to the wordpress post. For some reason it links to a youtube clip embedded in the article.
I realise it could also be a FB problem but has anyone else had this problem, and was there a cure?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no cure. When the post has a video in it then it seems Facebook picks that up and displays it. We have no control over the images that Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
Maybe these will help or maybe not.

Many thanks for the reply, and the links, I suppose one work around is to publish the article without any youtube links, post to facebook, then add them afterwards.

I suppose but I would not bother doing either. I would manually post a unique snippet to each social network. This post explains why I say that http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2014/09/10/social-networking-blunders/
