Posting lots of Articles at once

    I want to upload a lot of posts at once to a WordPress.com hosted site. I have a CSV file with the entries and can any fiddling with that that might be needed. I’ve read a lot about various ‘plugins’ that can take a CSV file but I don’t think I can use these on a hosted site because I don’t have admin access.

    My way round was to use the email upload and I created a mail merge to email each entry one at a time to create new posts. So far so good. I want to put the posts into different categories and sub categories. I’ve read the article:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/#specifying-the-category and that works a bit but I don’t know how to specify sub categories. The other problem is that WordPress doesn’t allow a bulk upload like that – I think they see it as a DOS attack – the first few are great then the process is cancelled and I have to contact the help desk.

    Are there any better ways?
