Posting my own articles
-
I have written something that was later published by a now-defunct organization with no website. I have all rights to it but only a scanned version on my computer. How can I post it? Do I need to retype it all? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, unfortunately you will need to retype it all OR you can scan it and upload it as a JPG but then no search engines will be able to read the contents. It’s probably best to type it all out again, unfortunately.

Interesting. I actually found a copy of the typed version in a word doc. on my computer but assume I would have to cut and paste that? What confuses me is why it is so easy to post, say a public news article through PressThis for instance — but I am not given the option to post by browsing my own computer. Am I missing something? Thanks

If you do decide to paste your article from the Word document, paste as plain text or switch to the html editor and paste there. You’ll lose formatting but that is better than breaking your blog.
Word is a good word-processing tool, but it does not speak internet; it inserts un-necessary code, some of which can be really bad.
