posting on Daily Post

I cannot figure out for the life of me how to post on the Daily Post. I have read and re-read and still cannot figure it out!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Daily Post is a blog run by wordpress.com staff. You are not able to post on it as you are not a registered user of that blog.
If you are speaking of the daily and weekly writing prompts, you post your response to the prompt on your own blog. Include a link to the relevant post on The Daily Post in your own, and when you publish your post it will create a pingback on the Daily Post’s post, i.e. a link to your post will appear in their comments section.
-
My ping backs to the Daily Prompt have only worked ONCE and never after that. I tried every solutions under the sun on my end but nothing. Have I been blocked or blacklisted in some way? Frustrating.

@dinaarison
Are you using the full URL from the browser’s address bar or the short URL from the wordpress toolbar? The short URL doesn’t generate a pingback. -
-
I looked on your blog and see that you’re leaving a trackback, not a pingback. Possibly The Daily Post doesn’t accept trackbacks. You can read this for the difference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Introduction_to_Blogging#Trackbacks
In any case, I also see that you’re on a self-hosted blog, so it could simply be that your platform’s software handles it differently from the wordpress.com software. I suggest you start a thread on the wordpress.org forum if your pingbacks aren’t working. We won’t be able to help with that here. http://wordpress.org/support/

I was using pingbacks at first. The trackback thing has been tried today (one of the solutions offered and tried it). Well, it shouldn’t matter that i am not using WordPress.com because the pingbacks have worked before and I am not the only person complaining about it not working now.
-
The problem is staff here won’t be able to access your blog to see if the mistake could be there. That’s why I referred you the wp.org forum.
You could also try commenting on The Daily Post, telling them that there might be a problem their end. Then they can check on it.

Well, I think they have blocked me in some ways. The pingbacks to other blogs work fine on my blog so the reason isn’t because “it’s a self-hosted” WordPress site. If they don’t want non-Wordpress.com blogs to participate they should just say we are not welcome.

Every time I make a post , an error message pops up. “Their is a problem with this websites security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website address security certificate problems indicate an attempt to fool or intercept any data you send to server.” Should I be concerned and what does this mean in idiot language. Please let me know how I can avoid it in the future… I did change my domain recently. Also I applied to wordads but I assume it was a no since it was suspended. Don’t know if they are related to this problem or not.

@elppredictions
You have a different issue from the others posting here. Please start a new thread here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 and be sure to include your blog’s active URL (starting with http://). -
@nightowldina
I’m sure they didn’t block you unless at some point you linked to or posted something that went against their commenting guidelines. If it’s not a technical issue the only way to clear this up is to contact the blog in question and ask them, nicely, whether you had perhaps been blocked. It could be as simple as that someone else accidentally marked you as spam and now your pingbacks are landing in their spam folder. It happens. They’ll be able to check their spam folder and mark you as not spam if that’s the case.
