posting on other peoples website

If I posted on somebodies website and picked a certain date for the blog to show, would the owner of the website be able to tell when I exactly posted the blog?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi khilolavahobova69!

If you use the scheduling tool for blog posts, there is not a way to check when the post was scheduled for a certain date. However, if the blog owner wanted to, they can check the revision history of the blog post. Checking the blog post revision history will allow them to see the dates associated with revisions of your post, and these dates will probably be dated before the scheduled release date.

When the scheduled post goes out, it will show the date and time that the author sets.

Please let me know if this answers your question. :)

    Hi khilolavahobova69,

Might I ask, are you asking about ‘backdating’ a post, i.e publishing a post on a date that has already passed? A backdated post will look, act, and seem like it was posted on that date in history, there is no public facing log of when it was actually posted.

Even if you’re picking a date in the future, the blog will only show the date of when the post was scheduled to be posted.

    Hope this helps!
