Posting pdf documents in image gallery
-
Upload/insert says pdfs are an allowed file type, but when I preview the post they don’t show. I’m a graphic designer using my WordPress page – Steira – to show samples of my work, including multiple page documents. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We Volunteers cannot view previews so I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Pease indicate which post or page has the PDF link in it.
The following processes are outlined particularly for users who wish to upload a document and add its download link to a blog post or page. If you are seeking to simply upload a document to your blog’s Media Library (no download link), you can check out Media -> Add New in your dashboard. http://support.wordpress.com/media/media-add-new/
If you want to embed the document itself, you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs. Otherwise, the documents will appear as a download link.

When you upload a PDF and insert it into a post, only a download link is shown.
PDFs cannot be included in galleries.
If you want to actually embed the PDF, you’ll need to use a service like Scribd or Google Docs.

Only images can be included in a Gallery (PNG, JPG, etc.), but you can include a link to download the PDF as a part of the image description.
