posting photos

  Help! I have posted my photos before no problem. I have tried tonite to post a photo with my entry and it shows up in the draft window but when you hit publish it disappears, sometimes taking the whole entry with it.

  I thought it was the picture I was using so I tried to post one of the other ones I had already posted and it wont let me post those either.

  Any ideas? Could I have clicked something I shouldnt have?

  I think this is a bug that people have noticed over the last few days. It started off with text but now it seems to have spread to images as well; staff were working on it yesterday but it might not be fixed yet.

  I’d suggest trying to use an image from a different source to see if it helps; if normally you publish it by uploading an image to WordPress, trying uploading it to somewhere like Flickr instead and then bring it over using the picture icon (it looks like a tree in your editor) or vice versa. If that still doesn’t work I think you’ll have to contact staff and let them know about the problem; you’ll need to provide details of exactly what’s happening so they can help you.

  Also, do you use an offline editor at all? It’s quite a good thing to have around if you’re having problems; it means you can prepare posts and publish them later when the problems have cleared up and you shouldn’t lose anything. BlogDesk and Windows Live Writer are two good ones and free.

  Nope.
  Image source isn’t it – experiencing the same issues as nerdgirl, and even tried putting up old pictures from my saved ones, and putting them into posts that are already up. No dice.
  Hit publish, no pictures up.

  I can’t even get the pictures into the edit page, and wp edit box won’t flick between visual and code (stuck on ‘code’ tab, but in visual mode) to try coding them in… having full faith the prob will be fixed, but really wanting to update, to get really lame most recent post off top position (it’s about hospital food, on a food blog. yum, eh?)

  I can get the pictures uploaded and showing in the edit page, but when I hit “save and continue editing” the pictures disappear. I have an art blog, so text only goes so far in this case. I might try the Flickr route.

  I have a problem with the “save and continue editing” too!
  I have no problem loading my pictures and sending them to editor.. BUT when i press the “save and continue editing” nothing shows anymore! (but all the text stays)
  please heeeeelp

  Thank goodness I read this. I thought I was going crazy. I thought it was my camera. Then I thought it was my photo program. Now I know it’s just wordpress.
