posting pictures

  OK, I admit defeat. I posted quite a few pictures to my blog. No problem. Problem is I don’t know how I did it. I took the picture out of iPhoto onto the desktop..sized it to 450 X ?…Uploaded it..it came out huge. when I clicked to send to editor..it published two pictures (the right size) of the same thing. I am definitely computer challenged, but I did it before now I can’t. Help!!!
