posting pictures
-
I blog about my Breast Cancer Journey, I am connected to FB and Twitter , lately FB pulls all my pictures from my blog not just the thumbprint one. Pictures are of sensitive nature and I only want those truly reading my blog to see them…. I place sensitive pictures at the end of my blog with a warning not to scroll down for those not wanting to view them. But how do I prevent FB from pulling them and making a collage out of them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I just did some testing looking into the way Facebook pulls in posts and how the colleges are generated. Typically I’m all for automation, but I’m not seeing a way to prevent Facebook from making the college.
In this case what I would recommend would be disconnecting the automated posting from Facebook and manually adding the link to your blog. It will look a bit different when posted:

You’ll also be able to upload or post individual photos instead of having Facebook pull them in dynamically.
Sorry I couldn’t find an automated way, but do let us know if you have other questions.

Thinking out loud about this. Maybe rather than posting the photos at the end of your blog post you could post them separately to a small gallery on a separate page and link to it at the end of your post. That would also have the added benefit of truly giving your site visitors the option of not seeing the images unless they click the link.

That’s also a good idea, pages aren’t sent to Facebook automatically this would allow automated posting of the blog posts without Facebook creating a collage. Thanks, Jen!

Just now re-reading the responses, I really like the linking idea however not sure how to do that…If can’t figure it out I will place photos in a separate blog and d/c social media link just for that blog.
Thanks again for your help and suggestions…Pina

@jwpina you might do that. I was hoping just using “nextpage” or something like that would help, but it doesn’t.
So you could write a gallery post, but not publish it to social media. You could even use a password on it if you wanted to, so people wouldn’t stumble across it as they read your site. Then, you could write your public post and publish it with a link and the password included.
