  Is there a way to post something and make it not show on the homepage of my site because I need to create a post that will only be able to get viewed by typing in the posts link into the website typing bar.

  You could write a child page. If you are using the Pages widget, you would need to edit the widget options to exclude the page from being shown in the sidebar.

  A hidden from view but not password-protected Child Page would still be indexed by any search engine that crawls your site. If privacy is important on that page, I would also password-protect it.
