Posting Problems

  This just started today, but when I open up my page to write a new post, it open with the post body section in “code” mode, and it does not allow me to view it in the “visual” mode. Help?!?!

  It’s not clear from your post exactly what you have tried and what the results were.
  Have you tried clicking the “visual” button?
  That usually works.
  If not then, have you tried clearing your browser?
  windows crtl F%
  macs apple r
  linux f5

  If you want to shut the visual rich text editor off and use the standard editor you can do this here -> Users -> My Profile uncheck “use the visual rich text editor” and click “Udate Options” to save.

  If you have cleared your browser and logged out and then logged in again and the problem has persisted then please send a feedback into staff.

  I’m having a similar problem–it won’t let me switch from visual to code view, and won’t save changes. Will send feedback.

  Same here…when I try to look at code, it changes to visual after saving. I’m having problems saving too…takes <i>forever</i>, and then it doesn’t show the changes. (eg. keeps jamming up lines of text that had been set in paragraphs) The last post I just published vanished.

  Is all this because of the recent maintenance?

  Most likely.

  I would give it another day and in the meantime, before publishing, COPY everything in your post box. Paste it into word or something or just keep it on your clipboard until you check to see everything’s gone through fine. If it doesn’t, you can just paste the stuff back in. You’ll need to redo the title and the categories, but at least the content will be saved.
