  I was wondering if it was possible that, after publishing a post, it would only show up in the category I assigned and not to both the blog feed and category?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It will show up in both places.

  A kind of workaround is to link only to your categories in your menu. That doesn’t eliminate the blog feed, but rather obscures it without a direct link. If you still wanted a kind of general blog feed as well as your categories, you could make a category called blog feed or some such for your more general blogging and put that in your menu with your other categories.

  One potential downside is that sometimes the theme formatting of your category page might be different than the formatting of the blog page.
