Posting Question…please help

I’m trying to get the post in my blog shortened so that it only shows the title of the post and maybe the first part of the content. Then, when you click on the post, it goes to its own page and shows the whole thing. Does anybody know how to make that happen?

To split content in your posts so only an excerpt and a read more link appears on the front page of the blog, where all posts are showcased, you insert “the more tag”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

Yes: you can add the “More” tag to the post above where you want the content to stop being displayed on the blog list.

Alternatively you can switch to using a theme that automatically supplies excerpts only on the front page (Fresh and Clean, Grisaille, Origin, Inuit Types, Ideation and Intent, etc. ) http://theme.wordpress.com/

You could try refreshing first :) and know that I type tags first so if you see relevant tags they are probably posted there by me. Also note I’m visually challenged and make small errors my app does not detect. As well I tend to post into more than one comment box due to my visual issues. -
