Posting to a page.
-
Basically:
I want my site to host my blogg and my poetry.
I generally just blogg, and this works fine: I make a new post, I write away and I post it. It appears on my frontpage and everyone is happy.
I don’t want to post my poetry to my main page. (If you check out the site, i’ve thrown one on there as an example)#
I can’t seem to post different things to different pages. I’d like to. How can I do this?IN ESSENCE:
I want two tabs: Blog and Poetry.I have searched for a solution, and what I found nearly brought on a seizure. Simple minded man her, so elaborated responses would be welcome!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Pages you create are static and sit outside the blog structure. There is no way to put posts on pages you create. Pages are for static content that seldom, if ever changes.
The general way to do this is to assign the poetry to its own category and then when people click on that category name in the category widget they are taken to the poetry category page. You can even create a custom menu and put the custom menu widget into the sidebar instead of the “pages” widget and then you can have categories and pages in the same menu.
Of course this means the poetry will show up on the main blog page.
One way to get around this is to have a static main page and then put links on that static landing page that lead to the two main categories, “blog” and “poetry” and then not have an actual normal “posts” page.
