Among the most common misconceptions is that bloggers fail to understand is
(1) there is only one page we can post to in any blog and
(2) the static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ they create do not automatically update.Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags too will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

So, I set up menus and categories and tags. But, when I post, they don’t go to the right pages…
Any ideas?

http://misquotingthefoundingfathers.wordpress.com/ is an empty blog
theindependentacademic.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site. Please post the URL for the blog your are referring to.

I only see one post on slowblink.wordpress.com which you have put into the “uncategorized” category.
There are no posts on misquotingthefoundingfathers.wordpress.com.
Can you give us an example where your posts are not appearing on the correct category page? Please give the link starting with http:// to make it clickable.

Here’ s the url: http://slowblink.wordpress.com/
I just tried to put ‘No means no… really’ under the category and tag of stories – which is in the menu.
It posted on the homepage.

It will always post new posts on the “homepage” if you have set up your site to display your posts rather than a static front page.
