Posting to Facebook

  I created a blog. When I click the Facebook icon to post the blog entry to Facebook, the text beginning is displayed, however, there is no thumbnail. Where do I define the thumbnail and ensure it gets posted to Facebook. Thanks.

  Heya! Would you be able to post a screen shot of what is happening? I’m not exactly sure what you mean. When I try and share to facebook it includes the main image of my blog post and the beginning of the text, so I am not entirely sure what you mean by thumbnail.

  Hi Nick,

  Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to be so slow with this but I’m not sure how to post a screen shot to you to show what I mean. Actually, when I click the Facebook icon from my blog, it brings up Facebook, but does not post anything. If, instead, I am in Facebook and post the URL, it brings up my text, but to the left of the text, where one would normally find the picture from the blog, there is just an empty white square.   I see what you mean that when you click on the Facebook icon it just goes to Facebook without sharing anything.

  I found the support article on sharing to social media. There is are step by step instructions and a video. Maybe check that everything is configured correctly by going through these steps?

  Got it. Thanks.
  1. I Disconnected and then reconnected my Facebook Sharing.
  2. I imported my blog picture again.
  3. I used Facebook debug and re-scraped the page.
  4. Posted the first blog to Facebook
  5. Blog entry, and thumbnail [picture] showed up.

  I appreciate your sending me the links to relevant documentation.
