posting to pages
-
Hi-
I’m new and have looked at some of the FAQ stuff. What I what to know if you can add a post to an individal page. I have my “home” page, my “about” page, a “stuff” page, and a “experiences” page. I want to maintain each page as if it were its own home page and have folks comment on those posts. So if you wanted to see the latest post in stuff you’d see it and could comment, etc. I’d also like a different header for each page.I’ve played with the software and can’t seem to find anything. Is it even possible? Suggestions?
Thanks!

This frequently comes up. On a blog you can have only one running posts page, usually the front page but this can be changed. This single page assigned to “posts” displays your most recent posts automatically. All other pages you create sit outside the blog structure. They are for static content. Moreover, they are not dynamic and do not automatically update. They cannot be assigned categories. If you wish to add more material to these additional pages then you will have to edit it in manually each time. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/11/a-post-and-a-page/
Also you cannot have a different “header” for each page. The blog itself has a header that appears on all pages. You can upload an image onto each static page that you create if you choose but as I stated before these pages will not automatically update.
To achieve what you want you would have to have multiple blogs.
