Posting to specific page
-
My posts go straight to the front page of my blog and I want this to continue, but I also want to be able to post some posts to a specific page. This is the reason: I am doing an on-line creative writing course which requires me to ‘publish’ my writing where it can be viewed for criticism. I don’t want these writings to appear on the front page. Is there any way this can be done. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, all posts will appear on the blog posts page; since that is the default front page of your site, they will appear there. The only way to get around that (without needing to upgrade further) is to change your site’s front page to a static front page. https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
You can also “split” your posts into separate Category pages, like your “Just Another Day” category at https://tonyhuby.com/category/just-another-day/
As long as you assign categories to your posts you can use those category pages in a Custom navigation menu. You can learn more about this in our support guides at:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/Hope that helps but let us know if you have any questions after reading those guides.
Also just wanted to mention that since it looks like you have an upgrade plan on your site you are also eligible for direct support via LiveChat and email when you post to https://wordpress.com/help/contact

Perhaps the best thing then would be to start a completely new site for that course specifically? https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account
