Posting to Twitter
-
Hey, so I’m stuck on how my posts look on Twitter. When I publish a post, it just shows the title and the URL. But, I’m trying to make it so it can show the title, URL, and the photo I used for the post.
Check my profile on Twitter @nintytimes and it’ll make more sense.
Hope to hear an answer soon, thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Doesn’t a Tweet have a maximum character length of 140 characters? That’s about two lines of standard CPL text. I don’t use Twitter, so I’m kind of winging it. If the title is larger than normal Tweet text (Tweext), perhaps you’re max is reduced.

Okay. So that has the title, three lines, a large image, and lots of buttons. I’ll tag it (modlook) for Staff assistance, since it’s out of my realm, and there aren’t that many volunteers around at this time.

OKay thanks musicfoc1. I’ve had this problem since I changed to the Ryu theme on the site

@mcmichael2014 in order to get your tweets to appear with the enhanced media, you’ll need to get your domain whitelisted. You can do that using the tool below. Just enter a url for a recent post into the box and follow the instructions.
https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator
@kev1165 it appears you may have gone through this process once before, but please try it again using this post:
Hopefully by re-validating your site, you’ll be able to get posts to appear the way you’d like them to again.
Let me know if you have any questions about that!

Many thanks lizthefair. I have done as instructed but my card is not whitelisted. This is what is shown on the screen
INFO: Page fetched successfully
INFO: 18 metatags were found
ERROR: No card found (Card error)Can you help, please. I do not write html,
thanks

Hi @mcmichael2014,
That’s the error you get when you try to validate from your site URL rather than a specific post. Try this url instead:
http://lemonaste.com/2014/11/25/pink-lady-apple-and-blackberry-brown-sugar-pavlova/
Let me know if that works better!

Hi lizthefair,
many thanks. Does that mean I have to put the specific post url in the card validator each time I post, or is the process automated? This time, using the ‘pink lady apple’ url, I am requested to seek approval,
kind regards
Bruce

My understanding is once you get your site whitelisted by validating one post, you shouldn’t have to do the process every time. That having been said, this is really a Twitter process, rather than a WordPress.com process so my knowledge of how it works is somewhat limited.

Many thanks lizthefair for your advice. Twitter is a bit limited here, so I think I will have to post manually to get my photos shown on the feed. Kind regards
