Posting under headings that are not static

    I would like to be able to have my posts display under different headings; for example, one heading might be “On Writing” and another might be “On Photography”, and then I would want to be able to place my posts under the correct heading. When guests to my posts visit, they should be able to click on the proper heading and see all of the posts related to that heading. I have been playing with the pages and menus options, but I can’t seem to get them to work correctly. I don’t think “pages” is the right option because I don’t want my posts to be static; I want the most recent one under the category to display just like they would on the “Home” tab.

    Correct, pages isn’t the right option: categories is the right option. You assign the appropriate category to each post, and you create a custom menu that will include links to these categories. For details on custom menus see this post of mine:

    Thank you – I only had a chance to read half of your directions so far, but a lot of the functionality in WordPress is starting make sense now. I really appreciate your clear/concise instructions.
