Posting Video

  I am trying to embed a video that is not google or youtube and I have been unsuccessful in doing it. I copy the code from the original video that says, “copy this code and paste on your webpage” but when I do it, it does not embed the video only the code. I have tried under the video tab and pasting directly onto the page, in both ‘Visual’ and ‘HTML’. Can anyone help?

  We need a link to your blog, and also, where is the video hosted that you are trying to put in your blog?

  The video was on Foxnews.com.

  Videos at news outlets are typically protected so that they cannot be embedded in other sites, but I don’t know if that is the case at Fox.

  Your only possibility would be to see if you can use the vodpod button to embed it:

  http://vodpod.com/wordpress/

  One note I’ll add is that some of the news outlets are very protective of their videos and such, and embedding a video means you are also using their bandwidth. Many of the new outlets zap copies of their videos off of places like Youtube and such with a vengence, so be aware that they very well do the same here with wordpress.
