I cannot post videos that I have taken onto my site. Can this be done?

I’m not talking about Youtube videos. I am talking about videos that I have made, edited and want to add in a post. Do I need a subscription service before I can upload my own videos? I’m not trying to post a Youtube video, I know that can be done, but when I tried to post a video from my computer that I had made, it would not allow me to do so.

Thanks for the additional details. Uploading a video from a computer file can be done in a Video Block or with VideoPress, both of which are only available on the Premium, Business, and eCommerce paid plans.

Do I need a subscription service before I can upload my own videos?
Yes, you’ll need the WordPress.com Premium plan or higher in order to upload videos directly to your site. @musicdoc1 has already shared all the helpful links about uploading videos to your site. You will be able to follow them after your site is upgraded to the Premium plan or higher.
