posting without publicizing

    Hello. I’m working through a backlog of some old articles/ideas that I’d like to put up on my blog. I know I can post/publish and then back date them once they are up. But, that means they are publicized and posted on the WordPress reader and sent via email to my followers.

    Is there a way to “quietly” add posts without them getting sent to followers or show up on the WordPress reader? The is older material and good content for my site, I just don’t want to send it out as if it’s current.
