I am new to wordpress.com and I was reading the forums on how to post images and such. One of my questions is that my write past page doesn’t look like or have the features like spell check, that it shows I should have : here is a link to what I am talking about http://wordpress.com/features/spell-check/ my write post features are nothing like that and are [title] and then it has all these buttons titled: [code], [lookup] which links to a dictionary,and [close tags] etc. My point is why the differences? or am I doing something wrong? I hope I am making the clear.
After I get this question answered I may post more if I don't find the answers in other forums. Thanks for your help.

You’re in the code tag. Click the one next to it that says Visual and you’ll see the other buttons.

okay there is no tags to click on like you have shown…I went to the link timethief and mine doesn’t look like that…so now what? I don’t have any tabs above the title bar to choose from..

Let’s start with this. Please post a link to your wordpress.com free hosted blog.
Next go to this page -> Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile
Is the checkbox there checked for ____ Use the visual rich editor when writing ? -
What’s the url of your blog, please? The one linked to your name takes me to a page saying the author has deleted it.

ellaela I just noticed that myself.. I had to blogs under this name deleted one of them and now it says that it is deleted when you click on my member name… ughh I was searching for a way to fix that just now… I am sorry I am so new to this … I had a blogger but I do like the looks of wordpress better … Just have to learn the little tricks and I will get into the swing of things

May be that is one reason why my blog is not getting much action…

If you go to your “profile” in the top right of this forum, there is an “edit” button on that page that you can change the URL for these forums if you would like ;)

(1) Please post the link to your wordpress.com blog you are talking about so we can see what’s going on.
(2) You can link your username to any other “live” blog that you have here -> Users -> Your Profile
scroll down to “Website” and remove the url in there for the dleted blog then replace it with one from your “live” blog and click “Update Profile”. -

HaHa…thanks so much timethief, ellaella, and trent!! You have helped me so much. With your help I was able to learn and fix two things today… the day is not a waste.. I learned something!! (even if I didn’t it wasn’t a waste anyway…there is not a day that can be a waste) Anywho things are fixed and thanks to all…
Now to go and search for the answers to my other imaging and blogging questions!!! My journey in blogging continues…….
