  Hi, I am trying to make my posts kind of shrink down, so when people are scrolling down my page, they don’t get to see the entire post, but only the picture and a small fraction of what was written, and then I want it to have the ‘continue reading’ button, so if they press it, only then is that they can see the entire post. Does that make sense?

  Hi,
  The ‘more tag’ splits up a post as you’ve described so only part of it will show on the homepage. A reader will need to click a link to read the entire post. Here’s the guide for that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/
