  I started a new blog today, the new post takes ages to preview and won’t post – error on page – help

  I have managed to find a way to post in dashboard, which took me ages to find. Now when I try to upload and insert a JPEG, which I see in a WP album – ‘insert’ inserts the text of the image. Not the image. Help!

  Yes, my images are uploaded from computer, I don’t have the drag in box as pictured, the chosen image appears in left hand box, the appearance is different to the help page on inserting images. No size buttons, ‘All formats’ not JPEG

  Thanks, I’ve tried the one in edit/addmedia, I’ll try dashboard route tomorrow, if that doesn’t work – troubleshooting

  I already have a gallery, so no problem downloading. The box which appears has no ‘drop down files’ it does have; ‘select files.’ I have no problem with downloading images from my computer. I select from ‘insert media’; the image appears in the right hand box; Media File link; my http, WordPress address; size – medium. I follow everything – the result – TEXT, of the image in my post.
  The image sizes are suitable. I have successfully used a downloaded image for my header. So???? what’s wrong? My blog will be 50/50 images/writing. I hope.
  Troubleshooting, my signal is ‘excellent.’
  Help!

  I have now discovered that the text on a post will not ‘bold’, the text appears instead. As you see, it happens here also. Perhaps I should scrub the whole thing?
