Posts about Flipgrid crash my feed
-
I’ve shared two different posts with information about a Flipgrid page to my blog and each time, the embedded feed for my blog on this page – https://www.cod.edu/academics/faculty/teaching-commons/index.aspx – crashes.
Looking at the RSS feed, the college’s website admin can only tell that it is definitely THESE posts about Flipgrid and nothing else. When I unpublish the posts, the problem resolves. What’s going on? (example post – https://fpdatcod.wordpress.com/2020/10/06/sharing-strategies-on-flipgrid/

Hi there,
I think this is rather a question for the folks who run the https://www.cod.edu/academics/faculty/teaching-commons/index.aspx website, or perhaps for whatever plugin that site uses to embed your RSS feeds.
The post you linked to doesn’t contain anything unusual in the HTML code, and I also don’t see any problems with your site’s RSS feed when I check it at https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffpdatcod.wordpress.com%2Ffeed, so the problem isn’t with your WordPress.com site.

That seems to be the consensus, but everything works fine until I post something including the Flipgrid URL! If I remove the Flipgrid post, the feed displays without issues. If I write a new post with the Flipgrid URL the feed crashes.
I’m going to stop blogging about flipgrid, apparently…
Thanks!
