Posts all on one page
-
Hello there,
I’m quite new to WordPress :/
I am having a problem with my posts… it seems to be posting all the articles on one page underneath each other (looks like one long article). Not sure how to just display the article names? as a list and then obviously it would then link to the individual articles?
Please help!
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
That might be how the theme is designed to behave by default? Which theme are you using?

Sorry, “That might be how the theme is designed to behave by default,” should have been a statement rather than a question.

Hi there musicdoc1,
I am using the Blask theme. Not sure if this is the theme limitations or me :/
I went into the settings (theme enhancements), and changed the infinite scroll. It managed to place each article on a separate page but viewers would have to now read/scroll between articles to see what is there.
Is there anyway to change/edit this, that there is all the articles on one page (just article/post titles) and then linked to their individual pages?
Thank you

It looks like the site https://myblackheartdesigns.wordpress.com/ has the Blask theme activated. Some WordPress.como themes have an option at Customize that allow you to choose between display full posts or excerpts on the blog page. Others, such as magazine layout themes, display only a grid of featured images and titles corresponding to the posts on the blog page.
If you prefer to stick with Blask, then there are at least a couple of options available:
1. Use the More Tag (Classic Editor) or the More Block (Block Editor), depending upon which editor you’re using, to truncate posts on the blog page.
2. Use Display Posts Shortcode inserted into a static page, and provide a link to that page in the custom menu, instead of a link to the default posts page or blog page).

Hi,
Sorry I’d missed your most recent post.
It managed to place each article on a separate page but viewers would have to now read/scroll between articles to see what is there.
It sounds like you might now have it set to display one post per page. With infinite scroll disabled you may set the number of posts displayed per page at My Site(s) > Settings > Writing > Content types. The number can be changed by simply clicking on the up/down arrows. When you’ve reached the desired number, save the change. See the Content Types section of the Writing Settings support page for relevant instructions and illustration.
Note that this setting not only affects the blog page, but also all archives pages such as year, month, and date archives, category and tag archives, author archives, etc.

Thanks @musicdoc1 for your speedy reply.
Going to try your suggestions! Hopefully I will come right now :)

You’re welcome. Let us know how it goes. : )
Some WordPress.com themes have an option at Customize that allow you to choose between display full posts or excerpts on the blog page.
I forgot to mention that Blask doesn’t have that option. That’s why I suggested the available options for Blask: 1. More Tag / More Block, or 2. Display Post Shortcode, and the possibility of switching to an alternate theme.
