Posts and blogs
-
I am moving my blog over from blogspot. I want to put all my book reviews under the tab/page ‘Reviews’ but every time I publish a post, it doesn’t show up there. It only shows up on the home page, if then. I want to see if there is a way to directly post so that it lands under the ‘Review’ tab/page when I click on ‘Review’
Blog right now is novelistablogs.wordpress.com
I figured out I could do it by setting it as a category but I don’t want that.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You can create a page titled “Reviews” and add it to the menu. Then go to https://novelistablogs.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php and look for the dropdown box next to “Posts page” and select the “Reviews” page you just created. Save your settings. (This is also where you can change what appears on your homepage.)I just tested this on one of my sites and it moved all my blog posts onto the “reviews” page I created and my old “blog” page is now empty.

Or if you don’t want ALL of your blog posts going there, look into creating category pages:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
Basically you can create a menu tab called Reviews that will show only the posts in the Reviews category.

So I created a page ‘Reviews’ and followed the steps but now it says ‘Nothing found.’ In my actual post is there something that I need to include to get them to post under ‘Reviews’?
And I tried the category thing but the only issue I had is that at the top of the page it said: Category: Blog Posts. Im willing it do it this way if there is a way to make that invisible.

I see a couple reviews on the “reviews” page here: https://novelistablogs.wordpress.com/reviews/
If that’s working the way you want, I’d update the menu to link to that and not the https://novelistablogs.wordpress.com/category/blog-post/ page.

So how do I correct it so that when you click the tab ‘Reviews’ you get my reviews and not the category blog post?
-
I figured out that if i use tags it links them all to the ‘Reviews’ tab, which is what I want. The only thing that is bothering me now (that I want to fix, if I can) is that when I click on the ‘Reviews’ tab, it says Tags: Review. Is there a way to hide that?
-
I don’t think you can change that page title; it looks like that’s the way that theme is set up to display a tags page. (I applied the theme to my test site and son’t see a way to change it.)
Assuming all your blog posts are reviews, the easiest thing is probably just to link to the “reviews” page ( https://novelistablogs.wordpress.com/reviews/ ) in your menu instead of the /tag/review/ page..

Ok I think I got it!
Could you check it out and see if it works please?
You are a life saver!!! -
