Is there a way to add posts to pages? Or are they completely separate entities?

Hi there. Blog posts by default appear on your home page (main feed) in reverse chronological order. To have specific posts display on a separate page you can set up category pages that will only display posts that have a certain category assigned. You’ll need to create a custom menu in order to use category pages. See these articles for comprehensive instructions:
