how do i get the author’s name to show up on each post when they make a post ? also, how do i get digg, linkdin, etc buttons to show up for each post
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

we have two authors and i think we should make it so it shows who wrote what, aand for digg etc, we just want to e sure we get included in google feedburner digg del.icio.us and things so in addition to having a coool place to hang out for our regular group, we can also pick up some traffic and possibly some new members, etc
ps. we trade stocks, kinda ‘hedge fund style’, so with wp we can begin to get the folks who don’t have a chance all the time to be in our mirc room in real time to catch up on the days plays, etc.
what we do is training and seminars on how to trade stocks for huge gains and profits in a backwards, sidewise and upward market, no matter what. our 2009 programs, are 1) ‘how to start w/around 5k dollars and grow that into the 30k SEC requirement for day trading real quick style, and 2) how to start with the 30k instead and grow that up to 100k and beyond, again quick & pro hedge fund style.

1) change your theme, OR use the author’s name as a category or tag on each of their posts.
2) http://hillelstoler.com/2008/05/18/getsocial-social-bookmarking-for-wordpresscom/
3) you’d better review the Terms of Service for WordPress.com. Hedge fund style trading is probably not in accordance with those regulations, and your blog might get suspended. Contact staff directly and ask.

thanks, i’ll do all three. not sure on the regs thing, never thought about it, i’m just tired of using .org and having to have our own domain names and servers and such fro the past 5 years, the updates, the tweaking, yadda, yadda, it’s fun (was), but we have better things to do
worked a little on wpmu too, but never even looked at .com till now and it’s only because we want something really easy, smooth and just generally great, the lazy way tho.
we’ve had 7/63 lic’s, etc, i don’t think we’re doing anything the sec would cry about,

ok, i’m back, which part of TOS do you think could be an issue ? bullet #2 on types of blogs list blatantly states stock brokers as a popular typical type of person who uses .com
i wouldn’t even ever have thought about it, but the tos or big brother concept scares me a little, i wouldn’t want to have to deal wtih breaking rules/etc. we’re just replacing our own old wordpress sites and domains with a .com blog instead, there’s no national security issues at stake here, i think i’m liking the freedom from having to mess with servers and software and things, had to switch emails because of a physical move recently (last year), and old email was at a net provider since 1995, we moved almost litterally around the block, but different cable service here, so there was no way to take that with me, so, i made the leap to gmail, made a decision that gmail isn’t going anywhere, and it’s way easier to access and deal with from any computer any time, and won’t ever have to change, so, same concept with wp.com instead of .org and servers and such, the email thing was like loosing your whole identity,

also, which theme would you suggest ?
i don’t want to have to deal with choosing designs or logos or any of that anymore either, i didn’t realize there are different ‘features’ in each theme differently than how the wp sw works, thought that kind of thing was alwaays on each post, author’s name, time, etc, didn’t seem like that has anything to do with the look and feel or theme kinda thing
-
ps. forgot to change my wp email address before comcast killed it, so i haven’t been able to reset passwd on my original wp account/name, now i have to fold thata in somehow as well, changing email addresses really stinks

You’re going to have to make your own design decisions. And as I suggested, contact staff directly to make sure you’re not going to have ToS problems. Make big bucks quick is the kind of thing that would flag a blog.

oh, gotcha, y, we’re no get-rich-quick scheme, just solid foundational training in market technicals so that ‘normal’ people can at least ‘compete’ on the same level if they’re going to have money in the markets, that and sound capital management strategies ‘n techniques.
no silver bullets, magic cures or hocus-pocus here,
and, it’s just because we feel like doin it,, since we’re trading all day every day anyway, and working 24/7, why not show all the ‘normal’ people how things work under the hood while we’re doin it, so everyone can enjoy some of the fulfillment and comfort that the a-typical fund client/investor gets to have.
