Posts and Updates

  If I update an already published post, does it send an alert to my followers? Because I need it to. I am participating in a daily photo challenge and so I update the post each day with a new photo. I don’t think my followers are getting updates unless I publish a new post. Is there anyway around this? What if I change it to a page? And update the page each day…will they get updates to that? Any help would be much appreciated…thanks :-)

  Hi there,

  As far as I know, updates to Pages and to already published Posts do not get sent to followers. You were correct that only a new post gets reliable sent all followers. That’s not ideal, but there doesn’t seem to be another way.

  Thanks for responding. You just reiterated what I thought I already knew but wasn’t sure if I was right. Its frustrating that your followers can’t be made aware when you update a post or a page. Thanks again :-)

  Publish another post announcing the addition of new information to the previously published post and link to the post you updated in it.
