posts are disappearing except title

  Mysteriously, when I write a post now and hit publish, the entire thing disappears except for the title. This was going on back in June but I haven’t had time to deal with it until now — hoping someone will have an idea about what on earth is happening. Here’s the recent test post I made (it used to have text and two photos, but as per usual now all of that disappeared when I published the post.)

  Thanks! I checked the revisions and only part of the “testing” post is in there — the first couple of sentences I wrote, but not the two photos or the other text I included.

  Using Firefox to write/edit/post — only one tab.

  Can you try logging into WordPress.com in a Firefox private browser window and creating a new test post? I’d like to see if you have the same issue in case Firefox added some privacy or security settings that is blocking third-party cookies (which WordPress.com uses for logging in and managing your site from the back end).

  You don’t need to publish it – you can save the draft and Staff can see the drafts on your site’s back end to analyze.

  @catherinerosborne good question! I’d check your extensions first as those are often the most likely culprit. The basic browser settings will normally work fine otherwise, but if you’ve tightened any settings down manually, I’d recommend checking those as well.
