Posts are not appearing on the Reader.

I am making posts that do not seem to appear in relevant categories. eg I have recently posted 2 book reviews and they don’t appear in that category at all. Should I also have tagged them as book reviews? If not, what is going on.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That block of categories and tags was on single post and exemplifies your issue.
What you are doing (inadvertently) is called spamdexing AKA as tag spamming.
Will you please check out the reasons for non-appearance here?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-postsThe rule of thumb is assign the least number of relevant categories and tags to any post. Also be sure you do not exceed a combined total of 15.
As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

Not to worry as it’s a very common error and as you just started it’s good that you posted here so you can correct this now.
Never forget that it’s Google and Bing that send significant traffic to blogs. Don’t get all hung up on what’s happening here behind the garden wall, because the Topics pages here send only a negligible flow of traffic to blogs when compared with the traffic the big search engines send us.
